About Us

Michigan Coalition For Statewide Spay & Neuter is a team of dedicated animal welfare organizations and individuals. We are committed to humanely addressing Michigan’s dog and cat overpopulation issues through new and targeted approaches.

We recognize that accessing more affordable spay and neuter can benefit from a collaborative and regional approach, building on the realized success of partner regional organizations throughout Michigan.  Finding long-term, meaningful solutions requires input and support from multiple perspectives.  Our ultimate goal is to humanely reduce dog and cat overpopulation, which will reduce the intake into our animal shelters.  This will allow our shelters to function more efficiently and effectively – more homes and less euthanasia.

We are committed to the belief that no one organization or type of organization can achieve this goal alone, that we need one another, and that the only true, sustainable solution is to work together.

Michigan Coalition For Statewide Spay & Neuter is made up of representatives from both private nonprofit organizations and municipal agencies, shelters and rescues, veterinarians, spay & neuter clinic leaders and Michiganders demanding better outcomes for ALL our dogs and cats.  The only way to achieve this is through spay and neuter – of owned pets, community cats and shelter/rescue animals!
